Decorating for a Birthday Party or another special event like a Baby Shower or Bridal Shower can seem overwhelming, especially with all the other million little details to plan. Do not underestimate the importance of decorating. How the room looks as your guests arrive sets the stage for your event. You want your guests to smile and feel welcome. Right now the most popular decorating concept is Balloon Garlands. I have always loved decorating with balloons. They give you the biggest Bang for your Buck, they always look festive and are so easy to coordinate with any theme or color scheme. For our Let's Be Mermaids Party Box we used a multi-color Balloon Garland. We tried a few methods to create our garland and felt the fishing line worked the best. We blew up all of our balloons. Next we took two chairs and tied the fishing line to each chair --measuring out the distance we needed for the length of our garland. Then one by one we tied a small piece of the fishing line around the knot in our balloons and randomly tied them on the line. They will slide easily up the fishing wire.If a Balloon Garland is more than you need or have the time to create you can go with a simpler balloon decorating concept. Use the more expensive Mylar Balloons as a statement of your Theme and then use lots of the cheaper Latex balloons to highlight your Color Scheme. By mixing these two types of Balloons you really get a very professional yet inexpensive decorating job. We used this principal for our Minnie Mouse Party Box. Balloon Bouquets used as table centerpieces will also stretch your decorating budget, especially if you have a fairy large room to decorate. Mylar Balloons tried together in groups of three will look gorgeous on the tables and make the room look fully decorated. This will cost a fraction of what you would spend on Flower arrangements.
